  • Microwave


  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 stick oleo
  • ¼ cup corn syrup
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 4 qt Popped Corn
  • ½ tsp salt


  • Combine all ingredients except soda and popcorn in a large bowl. In microwave, bring to a boil, and then cook on full power for 2 minutes. Remove and stir in soda.
  • Put popped corn in brown grocery sack. Pour syrup over corn and shake. In microwave, cook on high in bag for 1 1/2 minutes. Watch carefully. It burns easily.
  • Pour into a pan and cool.
