Banana Nut Bread #1

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 bananas
  • 1 baking soda
  • 3/4 cup nuts


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cream butter and sugar.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Add bananas, then dry ingredients.
  • Add nuts.
  • Grease and flour one loaf pan and pour mixture evenly.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes or until middle is firm.
  • Note:  a wire whisk can be used to mix this: an electric mixer is not necessary.
