Angel Squares
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 egg whites
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup nuts chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
- Cream together butter and sugar.
- Add eggs.
- Add flour and vanilla.
- Spread into two square pans.
- Flatten out with hands.
- Beat egg whites stiff.
- Beat Brown sugar into egg whites.
- Add nuts and spread on crust.
- Bake for 50 minutes.
- Cut into squares.
