  • Conventional Oven

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pkg yeast dry
  • 2 tbsp water warm
  • 1 cup crisco
  • 2 cup buttermilk
  • 5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Cut shortening into dry ingredients; add yeast and buttermilk. Knead to dough consistency.
  • Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness; cut with cutter.
  • Melt butter, dip biscuits in melted butter and fold in half
  • Freeze 12 to a pan. Keep frozen until ready to bake.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
